4th of July Weekend started off right with a very fun Friday! Ellen declared it was the "Best Day Ever!" Mike, already wishing for a four-day weekend, decided to take Friday off when he heard the rest of us were headed to the National Zoo! After a great day seeing the animals-- especially the pandas!--Mike took Ellen and Will to the pool for the Swim Team Pep Rally. When they returned home, it was time to let them in on a little surprise--it was time for S'mores and Backyard Camping!
Yum! I think we all ate too many!After S'mores, Mom said goodnight and left Ellen, Will and Daddy outside where they sat in their tent playing UNO and reading books until turning off their lantern and going to sleep. Everyone slept well! Backyard Camping was a success!
