Happy Easter!

A chilly, rainy day, but it cleared up enough for a cold egg hunt outside!

Yes, Annie is wearing her new nightgown from her Easter basket and her rain boots for the egg hunt.

Sam's Motorcycle

I love these pictures of Sam on his ride-on motorcycle toy for many reasons. One, he's not wearing pants. Who rides a motorcycle without pants? A three-year-old who's potty training! Two, he's wearing a baseball helmet. Who wears a baseball helmet on a motorcycle? A three-year-old who owns no motorcycle helmet and is obsessed with his older brother's baseball helmet. The third reason I love these pictures is they make me think of the MANY times recently that Sam has expressed to us with MUCH frustration in his voice, "My motorcycle needs wheels!" Who thinks their ride-on motorcycle toy could easily be outfitted with actual wheels if only his parents would oblige? A three-year-old.

Good Morning, Backyard Guests

I opened the blinds in the girls' room Sunday morning to wake Ellen from her slumber, and discovered eight guests in our backyard. They stayed for quite awhile and we enjoyed watching them. The younger two were quite hesitant to jump back over the fence. It was interesting to watch the tactics the others used to encourage (force?) the young ones to jump!

A wet snow, but enough to go sledding 

...and enough for big brother to teach little brother about snowballs!

Happy 3rd Birthday, Sam!

We can't believe he's three! Happy Birthday, Sam! Sam is constantly smiling, always in motion, and simply happy. He's pleasant and playful! He loves Curious George, Captain America, Spiderman, and Toy Story. He plays baseball and street hockey with gusto, wields a light saber with skill, and tackles his big brother with confidence. He brings us great delight--we love him!
