2008 Outer Banks

We finished our summer with our annual trek to Corolla, NC in the Outer Banks. Annie napped like a champ in her stroller on the beach, Ellen demonstrated a natural talent for catching waves on her boogie board, and Will, when he wasn't throwing wet sand balls, skipped shells and splashed in the surf. We had such a great time that we extended our trip by two days and returned home just in time for Ellen's first day of Kindergarten and Will's first day of preschool!

Will's summer as a three-year-old has been full of eating popsicles, hitting baseballs, daring to put his face under in the pool, and loving on his baby sister. He still loves horses, his red Phillies hat, and his blue blankie--some things may never change...

Here are some shots of Ellen taken this summer! She's had a super time swimming all summer and is eager for the start of Kindergarten after we return from the beach.

Annie at Four Months

At four months old and 15 lbs, Annie smiles, giggles and squeals with delight. When she's not watching Ellen's family-room ballet performances or Will's basement baseball games, she enjoys watching the fish swim in our tank or the trees going by out the minivan window. She's trying hard to fit her entire fist in her mouth. She continues to eat and sleep well and as always receives more kisses in a day than can be counted.
