Ah, Good to be Back!

We've arrived! Back to Corolla for our annual last-week-of-summer vacation! After unpacking the van, loading the fridge and feeding our bellies some pizza, we always hit the beach in the evening, still wearing our clothes, with little concern for how wet we get.

Good Day for Gorillas!

It was a cool-for-August Friday, perfect for the Zoo!
Great day to see the gibbon, the gorillas, and the orangutans!

Annie, so social, yelled greetings of hello to the orangutan
and waved her little hands at him.

The gorillas were all outside playing in their backyard, but I guess we didn't manage to photograph them. We also saw the Komodo dragon, the alligator, and the crocodile.
Annie was NOT pleased. She took one look at the alligator and ran away screaming.

Poor, Poor Annie

Annie would like you to see her poor, poor nose. Oh, our poor, sweet Annie.
Skinned knees from falls on the sidewalk are bad enough, skinned noses are even worse!

Samuel's Baptism

Sam is now five months old! He kicks his legs, grabs his toes, plays with rattles, babbles and smiles. We love him! On Sunday, August 8, he was baptized. The kids were so proud of him and were so happy to stand with him during his baptism. He's a precious boy, a wonderful blessing, and we praise God and give thanks for him!
