May 2006 Princess Cinderella-Ellen-Ella

Our Princess Ellen still adores playing dress-up. Some days she refuses to call her daddy by any name other than "Prince." And sometimes, when she's pretending to be Belle from Beauty and the Beast, she calls him "Beast" all day. Despite the fact that Will now interrupts her imaginary worlds and puts up a fight for toys, she showers him with affection (which of course often times resembles a football tackle or a wrestling move). "Doing projects," as she calls it, with paper, markers, glue, stickers, and other crafty supplies, continues to be a favorite activity. She's delighted to have discovered scissors, both for her "projects" and for her Play-Doh. She's a sweet, caring, creative girl!

May 2006 Will's Adventures in Play

Meet "Ruv-Ruv", aka Grover from Sesame Street. Will loves his Ruv-Ruv and his blue blankie, especially at naptime and bedtime!

Will's laughter and smiles daily reveal how much he enjoys playing with toys and with his sister and discovering new things like Play-Doh, crayons and ride-on fire engines! He began to walk and talk in the same weekend in May--he grew up overnight, it seemed! At his 15-month appointment, he weighed 23 lb, 4 oz and measured almost 31 inches. He is quite pleased with himself that he has learned a few words and can use a few sign language signs to ask for what he wants. His favorite toy is still a ball, but now he can tell you with a clear, loud "Ball!" when he wants to play catch or when he's looking for a ball to hold.
