Swim Lessons

Annie and Sam are turning into little fish! They finished three weeks of swim lessons today with the diving board and then donuts!

A Day On Lake Anna

Mike's friend and his lovely wife invited us to spend the day with them at their lake house on Lake Anna. This was the first time the kids were out on a boat! Ellen and Will loved tubing. Annie adored every minute--she seemed to love the speed of the boat and sat at the front of the boat with her hair whipping around her and the hugest smile on her face. Sam sat close beside me, a little unsure, but grinning. He even managed a nice afternoon nap on the boat while the big kids tubed. 

  

Annie and Sam rode in the big tube behind the boat with Mike, Ellen and Will in the no-wake zone, but they much preferred being in the boat to being pulled behind the boat.

We stopped for ice cream! A nice treat!
(Sam wanted a big Peppermint Patty instead...go figure...)

Philadelphia

Mike and Will took a father-son weekend trip to Philadelphia to catch a Phillies game, tour Independence Hall, and visit the Liberty Bell. Pop-Pop joined them on their adventures.
