December 2006 Getting Ready for Christmas!

It's Christmastime!! The horses took us around the Reston Town Center for Ellen and Will's first carriage ride. (Will enjoyed the ride more than the picture reveals!)

Searching for the perfect tree!

Ellen helped cut the net covering the tree--ready for the branches to fall so we can begin to decorate!

First December Snow

The Monday after we put up our Christmas tree, we awoke to snow! Ellen was ready to take Will sledding!

She pushed him down the hill...

...and even pulled him back up. Good thing it's a little hill!

Then she was able to rest and relax and be pushed and pulled herself, while holding tight to her little brother.

December 2006 Merry Christmas!

It's almost Christmas Day! We've decorated our tree...

We've made our Gingerbread House...

We've put cookie mixes in jars to give as presents to our aunts and uncles...

And we've put on our new Christmas PJs on Christmas Eve...

And now it's time to play on Christmas Morning!!

November 2006 Thanksgiving Weekend

Our first Thanksgiving at home with Bebe and Popsie, Uncle Lacy, Aunt Abi and Cousin Sophia joining us for our feast! The next day, we saw Santa come to town at the Reston Town Center Christmas Parade.

September 2006 Apple Picking

Will was a happy guy apple-picking this year since he was able to partake! We had a great time and enjoyed the apples and the apple pies in the months after our trip to the orchard.

September 2006 Ellen Starts Preschool

Ellen started preschool in September!! Two mornings a week at Truro Preschool. For our sleepy-head girl, waking up in time to make it to school will be a challenge! (Hence the bagel for breakfast in the car!)
