Look at us! Look how happy! 

We had no idea we'd get to go to the Outer Banks this summer! But the doctor gave us the green light, we found an available rental house, and here we are! We couldn't share a house with our beach friends, but we met them on the beach every day. Thankful for this surprise and for ending the summer with beach fun!

The minivan is packed tight--so tight we put the children in and then packed around them! Hope they don't need to get out in the next two and a half hours!

Performing Arts Camp

We're so proud of Ellen! She participated in a Performing Arts Camp this past week and tonight was the big variety-show performance entitled Travelling Light. What a wonderful surprise that her dad was allowed to leave Charlottesville for the weekend to come home to see her perform!! We were impressed with her comedic timing on stage.
All the kids did an amazing job!

Peach Picking at Carter Mountain Orchard

Peaches are in season! Time to go picking! Carter Mountain Orchard is on the mountain across the street from our apartment complex. We look up at it every day! Today, we looked down the mountain at our apartment and at UVA hospital, and came down with lots of peaches for partaking!

Ellen is back home attending a Performing Arts Camp. 

She may one day forgive us for going peach picking without her!
