Annie and the Water

Annie has no fear of jumping in the pool and going underwater. In fact, we spent a day firmly teaching the rules of when to jump in and when to wait. She's also quite good at holding onto the wall and "monkey walking" where she wants to go. She's a fish!

Will and The Diving Board

Will, once quite opposed to water on his head, is enthusiastically enjoying the pool this summer. He just finished two weeks of swim lessons, culminating with Donut & Diving Board Day. Here are some pics of Will swimming and going off the diving board. No pictures of him eating his donut; but rest assured, he picked a good one with chocolate frosting and patriotic red, white and blue star sprinkles.

Sam's Four Months Old!

Sam turned four months old on July 5!! He weighs 13 lb 12 oz and measures almost 25 inches. Twice now, he has rolled from his belly to his back...although one of those times he may have had some help from one of his siblings, I am not sure... He kicks his legs all the time, he plays with rattles (or whatever toy Annie hands him), and he babbles and laughs. We think he's a lot of fun!

Backyard Camping and S'mores!

4th of July Weekend started off right with a very fun Friday! Ellen declared it was the "Best Day Ever!" Mike, already wishing for a four-day weekend, decided to take Friday off when he heard the rest of us were headed to the National Zoo! After a great day seeing the animals-- especially the pandas!--Mike took Ellen and Will to the pool for the Swim Team Pep Rally. When they returned home, it was time to let them in on a little surprise--it was time for S'mores and Backyard Camping!

After S'mores, Mom said goodnight and left Ellen, Will and Daddy outside where they sat in their tent playing UNO and reading books until turning off their lantern and going to sleep. Everyone slept well! Backyard Camping was a success!
